Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience participates in PDAC Panel Discussion on Machine Learning

Elisabeth Ronacher, Principal Geologist at Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience, was invited to participate in the panel discussion “AI across the exploration and mining chain”, organized by the PDAC as part of PDAC’s post-convention sessions. The session will take place on Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 11 am to 12 pm Eastern Time. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Christopher Lawley (Geological Survey of Canada). Listeners will be able to ask the panellists from industry and academia live questions. 

This discussion will be relevant for explorers who have collected large amounts of data and want to get the maximum out of the data to increase the odds of discovery. It will also be relevant for miners and all who are interested in AI applied to the exploration and mining industry. 

Topics addressed will include how AI is currently applied in mining, the role of AI in exploration targeting and barriers to adopting AI technologies for mining and exploration, among others.
