Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience Contributes to Siemens Picture of the Future of Mining

November 15, 2016 / by Jenna McKenzie

In an attempt to understand future developments in exploration and mining, SIEMENS is gathering opinions from industry leaders, government and academia on the exploration and mining industry in decades to come. SIEMENS requested Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience to contribute to SIEMENS’ Picture of the Future Mining 2030.

Principals Elisabeth Ronacher and Jenna McKenzie of Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience were interviewed by a delegation from SIEMENS (Germany) in Sudbury, Ontario, on Oct 26th, 2016. A number of trends that impact the exploration industry were discussed. Although significant uncertainty is always associated with any forecasting, it was concluded that a thorough analysis of factors influencing the exploration industry, such as financial, scientific and logistic factors, allows us to paint a picture of the future; this will enable SIEMENS to make decisions that ensure the company’s continued competitiveness.

Ronacher McKenzie Geoscience is a geological and geophysical consulting company that uses intelligent geoscientific data integration to help mineral explorationists focus on what matters to them.
